
Dr. Alexandros Petrolekas graduated from the University of Athens Medical School with Honors.
He received his licence to practice from the Medical Association of Athens.
Following the completion of his military service in Cyprus, he worked as a Rural Service Physician at the Health Center of Serifos island.
Dr. Alexandros Petrolekas specialized, initially, in the Surgical Department of the General Hospital of Larissa, dealing with a multitude of emergencies and participating in numerous surgeries.
He continued his specialization at the Thriassion General Hospital (Obstetrics & Gynecology Department), where he participated in a multitude of deliveries and gynecological benign surgeries.
He then specialized at the 2nd Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, at Aretaeion Hospital, a Certified European Training Center in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the European College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (EBCOG). He took part in a multitude of normal and complicated deliveries, actively participating in the Department of Monitoring High-Risk Pregnancy, the Department of Hysteroscopy and the Department of Laparoscopy, gaining experience in endoscopic methods.
During his specialization, he participated in the education of students of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, both with courses and practical training.
Dr. Alexandros Petrolekas is a PhD Candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Medicine.
After receiving his Specialty Title, he worked and underwent further training at the Assisted Reproduction Unit of the 2nd Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinic, Medical School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens at Aretaeion Hospital.
